Introduction:
Dr. Jiping Tang is currently Professor of Physiology & Pharmacology at Loma Linda University . Between 1990 to1992, Dr. Tang worked as a Research Associate in the Division of Endocrinology at the University of Alberta Medical Center in Edmonton Canada and continued working in Endocrinology at the University of Chicago in United States in 1993-1994 then in Endocrinology and Physiology at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in 1997-2002 and in Physiology at the Louisiana State University Health Science Center (LSUHSC)-Shreveport in 2002-2004. Since 2004, Dr. Tang has been working in the Division of Physiology & Pharmacology at the Loma Linda University School of Medicine.
Dr. Tang has three major research areas: diabetes, cerebrovascular diseases and animal models of diabetes and neurological injuries. Dr. Tang’s research efforts have been supported by grants from NIH and Regional foundations with total of 2 million US dollars. Dr. Tang is the reviewer of NIH BDCN study section and has published 100 peer reviewed articles.
